Sector Reports: Veterans (JC Graham) and Education (Jessica Anakar). Planning for the Strawberry Festival Parade and summer teen dance party were discussed.

Island issues: Community Unity Through Diversity Parade (Ike Harmon). Sector reports: Business & Workforce (Jack Robinson-D’Amore, Kavi Rana), Healthcare (Debby Jackson, Jeff Thompson), Environment (Kevin Jones, Steve Bergman). Friends of the Harbor charter was reviewed (Jen Hrachovec). Watch and Response and DEI committees were sunsetted and unauthorized use of council emails was addressed.

There is some interest in forming a youth council (contact Meg). A Workforce Appreciation Party (Kavi Rana) is proposed in July. Jeff Thompson's application to the board was approved. A motion on unauthorized use of the V-MCC mailing list was recorded.

The WA Economic Justice Alliance is a collaboration between experts with lived experience, community organizations, state and tribal governments, and legislators to implement the 10-Year Plan to Dismantle Poverty.
