I got this in my email recently and thought you might be interested: Join Health Care for All-WA (https://www.hcfawa.org/) for a presentation titled “SEA MAR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS."

You probably know there's a Vashon Sea Mar clinic at Sunrise Ridge, but did you know SEA MAR is a community-based Health Center delivering bilingual and culturally appropriate health care and social services in multiple communities? They opened in 1978 with one small clinic in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle. Today, Sea Mar provides a broad array of services and programs for low-income, underserved, and uninsured communities in 13 Washington counties, specializing in services to the Latino population. Considering how tenuous healthcare is for many of us today, SEA MAR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS stand as an improbable and hopeful success story.
Jesus Sánchez, a Board member of Sea Mar Community Health Centers, will share the story of Latino community leaders and health activists who dreamed of developing a comprehensive health center for the Latino community in Seattle and turned it into the reality it is today.
