Sectors are areas of interest within a community. The goal of a community council is to assure that each sector has adequate representation in the council for residents' needs and concerns to be addressed by the council.

A Sector Liaison acts as a bridge between the community council and a specific group or area of interest within a community. Liaisons give a 5-minute report summarizing sector issues at the Board of Directors meeting twice a year.
