Hi Vashon Island Community Council,
Last week, we shared a save-the-date for the Washington Department of Ecology’s Recycling Refunds Study public comment period and upcoming info sessions. We are pleased to share that the public comment period is now open and will remain open through August 10. Comments received will help inform recommendations Ecology will submit to the Washington State Legislature in January 2027.

As a reminder, we are hosting several in-person and virtual info sessions to share study findings and explain how to participate in the public comment process. We hope you’ll join us for a session, and we’d appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with your staff, volunteers, and/or community networks. Attached are flyers in English and Spanish with more information about the info sessions.
